Outdoor Market vendor information

Review the application process, booth options and market rules before applying.

How vendors are selected

This is a juried event. Vendors are selected for each market based on the goods they offer and the quality and aesthetic of their displays. Submit a detailed description of everything you sell and three photos, including at least one booth-setup photo. A completed application does not guarantee a space.

What belongs at the market

The market welcomes handmade, repurposed, reclaimed, vintage, antique, farm, garden, and specialty food goods presented in a thoughtful display. Multi-level marketing and direct-sales companies, premade store-bought items, flea-market products, and service sales such as gutter or window companies are not accepted.

Vendors provide their own tent, tables, chairs, and other supplies unless an approved rental is arranged.

Food and beverage vendors

Food and beverage vendors must comply with the Will County Health Department. Call 815-727-8480 to confirm compliance. The required cottage or event license must be obtained before the event, and county inspectors may attend.

Sales tax responsibility

State sales tax for the event is the sole responsibility of each vendor and is paid to the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Cancellations and commitments

Approved vendors are expected to fulfill their commitment to attend. Vendor fees are non-refundable. A no-show cancellation before opening carries a $20 fine, loss of booth fees, and exclusion from future events.

Set up and teardown

Accepted vendors receive setup information and a designated arrival time during the week of the event. Setup times range from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and are assigned according to booth placement and the setup duration provided in the application. Arrival after 8:15 a.m. forfeits the space.

Early teardown is not allowed. Vendors may begin taking down booths at 2:00 p.m. Follow the packing, gate-closing and departure instructions in your event email. Storefront hours vary by event; see the confirmed dates above.

Rain or shine

The outdoor market is a rain-or-shine event. Vendors should bring suitable equipment for the elements, including rain tarps, canopy weights, and bungee cords. Fees are not refunded because of weather or vendor inability to attend.

Protect your application

Vendor applications go to countrysidevillagemarket@gmail.com. Do not send money to anyone posing as market staff or an event coordinator.
